While growing up, I worked with simple cameras and enjoyed doing photography, but never had the opportunity to spend a lot of time on it. When I got to college I had a point and shoot 35mm camera that took quite a few pictures for me. The pictures were definitely of the snapshot variety.
In 1999 I purchased my first digital camera. It was a Hewlett Packard C30, and took one megapixel pictures. I loved the camera and took a lot of pictures with it. The camera didn't zoom, which I found to be highly annoying, and it was very easy to overexpose the images. You had to be really careful about never taking a picture into the light.
In early 2004 I upgraded to a Canon digital SLR camera, and since then I've taken about 10,000 pictures. I mostly take pictures of nature scenics, but I also take pictures of local events and have even been published in several local newspapers..
I have a much larger collection of pictures available at my pics.omnux.com website.
